Piano Fundamentals

A Strong Foundation at the Piano

Piano Fundamentals is an early childhood piano class designed for children who are ready for a more focused introduction to piano learning.

Students build finger number fluency, keyboard geography, and pre-reading skills while growing in confidence as they learn songs at the piano. Each class supports growing independence and musical understanding in a warm, engaging environment.

Caregiver participation is required for the last 10 minutes of each class.

Early Keyboard Skills

Students build confidence and ability at the piano through keyboard geography, finger numbers, simple songs, and early music-reading experiences.

Musical Understanding

We value well-rounded musicianship by incorporating rhythm work, listening, singing, and pattern-based learning in each lesson. This needs to be longer still.

Focus & Independence

With developmentally appropriate structure and guidance, children strengthen attention, memory, and independence as they learn to participate more fully on their own.

Building the Whole Musician

Our Piano Fundamentals program goes beyond the keyboard to develop complete young musicians. By combining foundational piano playing with singing, solfège, ear training, movement, and hands-on musical activities, we help children understand music with their whole body and mind.

This integrated approach builds strong foundations in rhythm, pitch, listening, and expression, creating confident students who connect deeply with the music they make.
